For the past 30 years, guitarist and vocalist Jim Webb has performed with an array of Kentucky bluegrass, swing and string bands, including the Juggernaut Jug Band, Kentucky Wild Horse, the Hot Club of Derbytown, and the Buzzard Rock String Band. Notable performance venues include the Philadelphia Folk Festival, Mountain Stage, Nashville Now, the Kentucky Center for the Arts, the Sacramento Jazz Festival, Kentucky Homefront, the Las Vegas Jazz Festival, the Wheatland Music Festival, the Winfield Music Festival, the Downhome Pickin' Parlor, the Bluegrass Festival of the United States, the Kentucky Folklife Festival, Seedtime on the Cumberland, the National Press Club, and the University of Louisville School of Music. As Artist in Residence with the Kentucky Arts Council, he designed and implemented folk arts programs in south eastern Kentucky schools. Together with his wife, Stephanie, he recorded the CD "Tunes from East Kentucky." He currently lives in Louisville, Kentucky. |
